Spring Wedding at the Carriage House | South Jersey Wedding | Emily and Mike

Spring Carriage House Wedding. Emily and Mike had a gorgeous wedding day this March. After their church ceremony, they partied the night away at one of South Jersey’s premier wedding venues, The Carriage House in Galloway.

The weather wasn’t perfect for a wedding day as it started with a bit of rain, but it all worked out, and we got some photos outdoors at Mike’s family home and the Carriage House. We had a very well-planned timeline, and the day went perfectly. These two are so much fun, and I enjoyed capturing their engagement session and wedding day.

I started the day with the groom and his groomsmen. I met them at Mike’s family home in Ocean City, NJ. Mike looked handsome in his tuxedo and was very calm. He was ready to marry his bride! After we took photos inside, the rain stopped, so we took advantage of that and got some pictures outdoors. Mike’s groomsmen were so fun and helped keep Mike from getting nervous. I am sure the fireball shots might have helped too.

I then drove to Mike and Emily’s home to get photos of her details and getting ready photos. When I arrived, she was finishing her hair and makeup. She looked beautiful. Louis Christian Robert John Salon did an excellent job with all the girls. Emily loved her gown, and it looked perfect on her. The bouquets were elegant, and the bridesmaids rocked their gowns. Emily’s bridesmaids made her feel like a princess all day and her two sisters and mom were in tears when she had a first look with her dad, such a sweet moment.

A beautiful church ceremony

Emily and Mike said their vows at their family church in Marmora, New Jersey. I loved all the special touches that Father Paul added to their ceremony. Mike’s expression when he first saw his bride was priceless. Emily and Mike shared a few kisses on the way down the aisle after the ceremony, then we gathered their families to take formal photos. Our family photo list made this time go smooth and quickly. I got a couple of photos of just the two of them in the church then we headed back to Ocean City for some downtime before heading to the Carriage House.

We had extra time to relax and take photos before the cocktail hour started. It was so nice to have this amount of picture-taking time. The photos in Ocean City were so fun! Their wedding party was fantastic, and they were ready to help Emily and Mike celebrate, including the best champagne spray ever!! Some of my favorite photos of the day were taken at the Carriage House—so many great spots to use for photographs at this venue.

The staff at the Carriage House is top-notch. They go out of their way to ensure the wedding couple is cared for. During the cocktail hour, Emily and Mike had a goal to talk and visit with all their guests so that they could let loose and enjoy the rest of the night. Their first dance was epic as they both walked down the stairs and met in the middle of the dance floor, their siblings had touching toasts, and the band played all the best dance songs. After Emily and Mike cut their cake, we took some end-of-the-day photos. I love these photos as they allow my couples to take it all in and celebrate.

I always like to ask my couples to share advice for future couples planning and looking forward to their day. Emily said, “Soak it all in! Try not to let little details affect you, and if it doesn’t go as planned, let it roll off your back, it’s such a small detail in what’s truly important that day! Oh, and if it rains, embrace it because there is no changing Mother Nature.”

This couple was a true joy to work with. They were up for anything and just wanted to have fun, enjoy their day and have some gorgeous wedding photos. I look forward to continuing to photograph them in the future when it is time to capture the next chapter in their love story.
