South Jersey Wedding | Brittany and Jon | November 29, 2020

South Jersey Wedding.  Brittany and Jon were able to celebrate their love at Bogey’s Café and Club in Sewell, New Jersey. After they got engaged and they started planning the wedding, they drove by Bogey’s. Jon said that they should check that place out because Bogey is one of his nicknames.  When they went to look at this venue there was only one date left on the venue’s calendar.  Brittany and Jon took it as a sign that their date was meant to be.  They booked the date.

Spring Engagement Session

I met Brittany in February when she booked me to photograph the wedding.  We talked about plans and ideas for her wedding day.  She said that she had a great wedding planner, her sister, Ashley! She loved that Ashley was helping her plan her day.  We also talked about the engagement session.  After talking with each other, Brittany and Jon, decided they would like to go to a park for their session.  I had suggested Estelle Manor Park in Mays Landing. We had to reschedule the session on our first attempt and then we had to worry about the Corona Virus. Everything finally worked out for a day in March and it was perfect because the cherry trees were still blooming.  Click here to see their beautiful engagement session.

South Jersey Wedding

The day finally arrived! Brittany and Jon were so excited to get married. They were worried that the pandemic would make them change their plans, but everything worked out.  They were sad that some of their guests could not attend but knew that they had to stay true to the date they chose to become husband and wife.

The day was beautiful for the end of November. We could not have asked for better weather. I started the day at Brittany and Jon’s home where Brittany was getting ready. Brittany was such a pretty bride.  I loved her wedding dress.  It was a light shade of a dusty mauve and was perfect for her skin tone. After I took detail photos and getting ready photos, I headed to the venue to get some photos of Jon before the ceremony.  He looked sharp in his blue suit and pink tie.  I just love the blue suit trend!

Beautiful Light

After the ceremony we decided to do bridal portraits right away so that we could take advantage of the gorgeous sun set.  One of the event coordinators took us on a couple of golf carts to some favorite photo spots.  She had mentioned that there was one spot that a lot of photographers love.  She took us there and it did not disappoint.  The sun was filtering perfectly through the trees.  I just love the photos we took in that location!!  I want to give a shoot out to Brittany’s friend, Tyler.  He was so nice to come along with us and help me create some photo magic!

Special Moments and Fun Times

They had a fun time at their reception. There were tears as Brittany danced with her dad and plenty of laughter when childhood friends all danced on the dance floor. They ended their reception with a sparkler exit.  I am sure everyone had a good time.

Brittany loved her gown and bouquet.  She was unsure she made the right choice when she chose her gown. But when she put it on the day of her wedding, she knew it was the right choice.  Her bouquet was a surprise!  She told her florist the colors that she wanted and l that was it.  She left the design of it to her florist and she loved it.

Brittany never wears makeup or wears little when she does. She was so happy with her decision to get her hair and makeup done. Her hair and makeup team made her feel extra beautiful! Brittany loved how her hair and makeup made her feel so pretty on her wedding day. Having that little extra pampering is so nice to add to your wedding day experience.

Advice for Brides

Brittany’s advice is not to worry…too much.  Somehow everything ends of falling into place in the end.  Don’t worry about the little things because no one will notice.  You also do not need a lot of money on decorations.  Sometimes less is more.

Brittany and Jon….Thank you for letting Memories by Maria Photography capture your day.  I loved getting to know you two and loved watching you laugh together.  So glad that your day happened without any delay or postponement!! I was so nervous that the pandemic would get in your way.  I look forward to capturing future chapters in your story.
