Brant Beach Summer Wedding. June 3, 2023, marked a beautiful day for Michelle and Matt as they exchanged vows on the sandy shores of Long Beach Island. Despite the less-than-ideal weather featuring 25-mile-per-hour winds, the elements added a touch of magic to their special day, creating stunning photos with Michelle’s flowing dress and veil.
The Brant Beach Yacht Club in Beach Haven, NJ, was the backdrop for Michelle and Matt’s “I do’s.” Long Beach Island (LBI) held a special place in their hearts, especially for Matt, who spent his childhood summers there. His love for the LBI beaches became a shared passion with Michelle, making it their favorite place.
From Utah to LBI:
Matt’s proposal to Michelle at Utah’s Arches National Park set the stage for their romantic journey. Shortly after they were engaged, I met them on a beautiful October day; their engagement session unfolded in one of my favorite LBI spots, the Barnegat Lighthouse and its nearby beach. Their session is one of my favorites and foreshadowed the beauty to come on their wedding day.

The wedding day began at their island rental, where everyone got ready. Michelle’s stunning wedding gown fit her perfectly, and the bridesmaids looked beautiful in dresses of various shades of champagne. Despite the challenging winds, Michelle and the bridesmaids ventured down to the beach for some breathtaking images, capturing the essence of the day with the sky’s colors, the wind’s embrace, and Michelle’s radiant beauty. After returning to the rental, I found Matt and the groomsmen for their getting-ready photos. Matt and his groomsmen’s lively spirits made the windy photo shoot a delightful experience.
A magical beach wedding
The Brant Beach Yacht Club ceremony was nothing short of a dream for Michelle and Matt. It was made even more special as Matt’s father officiated, adding many personal touches. Despite a minor hiccup with the wind breaking the sand ceremony vase, the magical moments were sealed with kisses down the aisle.
The cocktail hour and reception turned into a grand celebration, with family and friends rejoicing in Michelle and Matt’s union. The couple’s first dance was elevated to an extra-special level as they twirled in a cloud. Heartfelt toasts and a night of lively dancing followed, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
