Cape May New Jersey Elopement | South Jersey Wedding | Michael and Paula
Cape May, NJ Elopement. Amidst the hustle and bustle of Memorial Day tourists, Cape May, a charming Victorian town on the Jersey Shore, witnessed a love story unfold. Michael and Paula chose the picturesque Queen Victoria Bed and Breakfast in downtown Cape May as the backdrop for their intimate elopement. Despite the challenges posed by the unpredictable weather and the holiday crowds, their celebration was magical.
Cape May holds a special place in the hearts of many and for good reason. Known for its quaint Victorian architecture, it stands out as a gem among the towns that grace the Jersey Shore. The couple’s choice of this unique location added an extra layer of charm to their special day. It is one of my favorite weddings, engagements, and family photo locations.
Flexibility amidst unpredictable weather
Planning an outdoor ceremony and beach photos can be a gamble, especially with the weather playing tricks. However, Michael and Paula faced this challenge with grace, remaining flexible with the timing of their celebration. Initially slated for a rainy and windy day, they waited patiently for the perfect moment when the clouds cleared and the sun shone warmly. We could not have asked for better weather and light.

As a photographer, I was thrilled to document Michael and Paula’s elopement. The Day began at their cozy B&B, capturing the anticipation and excitement in their pre-ceremony photos. Despite Paula’s family being unable to attend physically, they ingeniously included them through a heartfelt FaceTime session, ensuring everyone felt connected.
Before their ceremony started, we headed to the beach and discovered a pleasant surprise – a serene, uncrowded beach with perfect lighting. Michael and Paula, surrounded by Cape May’s natural beauty, shared a toast with champagne, posed in a charming Cape May boat, and strolled along the shore, capturing moments of pure joy and love. It was perfect!
Heartwarming ceremony
Returning to the B&B, Michael and Paula’s ceremony, officiated by Michael’s brother, was a heartwarming and romantic affair. The intimacy of the setting, combined with the couple’s genuine love, created an atmosphere filled with warmth and emotion.
After the first kiss and heartfelt celebrations with Michael’s family, I concluded the day with a few more photos. Michael and Paula radiated happiness, embodying a delightful couple deeply in love. As they embark on this journey together, I extend my heartfelt wishes for a future filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished moments.
Perfect day to get married
Michael and Paula’s Cape May elopement is a testament to the magic that can unfold in unexpected moments. Their photos are some of my favorites. Despite the challenges of weather and holiday crowds, their love prevailed, creating a day filled with joy, romance, and memories to last a lifetime. Cheers to the newlyweds, and may their love story continue to blossom in the years to come.
