South Jersey Wedding Photographer | 2022 Wedding Highlights | Memories by Maria Photography

South Jersey Wedding Photographer. Wow…2022 was a beautiful year for weddings. I photographed weddings at favorite venues, the beach, and some new venues, including a working farm! I had 27 weddings last year; they were big family affairs and small intimate events. I could never pick a favorite wedding or wedding couple, but I often have favorite pictures from each special day.

Crazy wedding weather

This year mother nature gave us all kinds of weather. Thankfully we had no snow in south jersey, but we did have wind. The wind was crazy, especially at the shore. I also photographed a wedding during a coastal storm and one in the remnants of a hurricane. It seemed like rain-threatening wedding days were more of the norm than not. On the bright side of two rainy wedding days is that I captured beautiful rainbows. We did have beautiful sunny days and some perfectly cloudy ones too. So I am hoping for a less windy and wet 2023!

Beautiful couples, beautiful venues

I love capturing beautiful wedding portraits. I love the perfect composition, cool poses, and excellent light… but I also love candid images. Capturing the moments in that, I have no control takes skill and keeps me quick on my feet. Sometimes, I feel like a stalker on wedding days, but being in the right spots at the right time allows me to capture some pure moments.

I was lucky to be able to visit so many beautiful venues. Several of them were new venues for me. I traveled all over south New Jersey, from LBI to Cape May. Several weddings were on the beaches, which I love. I got to travel to the Pocono Mountains and stayed close to home.
