Renault Winery Engagement Session | South Jersey Engagement Session | Jena and Steve

Renault Winery Engagement Session. The Renault Winery is located in Egg Harbor City, NJ.  It is a historic winery celebrating its 156th year. The grounds are gorgeous and made for the perfect location to have Steve and Jena’s engagement session.  Their wedding will be at this same venue next July. This is another great location for a south Jersey engagement session.

Their Love Story

Jena and Steve first met in 2012.  Jena had her eyes on Steve when they were both working out at the gym.  She was too scared to go up to him, so she had her brother in law introduce them.  They went on one date and sadly it did not work out.  Fast forward 5 years to 2017. Jena went out to a bar with her friends, her sister and brother in law and they just happened to bump into Steve. The timing for the two of them must have been just right because since then they have been inseparable.

A Nashville proposal

For Christmas 2019 Jena gave Steve a trip to Nashville.  They both love country music so she also bought Dan & Shay concert tickets.  They were both excited to go on their trip!  Little did Jena know that Steve had a big surprise for her.  They went to Nashville in March 2020.  Jena had made a reservation at a steak restaurant that she knew Steve would love.  While Jena had her back turned Steve asked the waiter to take their photo.  When she turned back around, he got down on his knee and asked her to marry him.  Of course, she said yes!

The Renault Winery

Jena and Steve fell in love with their wedding venue.  The Renault winery has the rustic vibe they were looking for.  They wanted something a bit different than the standard ballroom and the winery fit that bill perfectly! Plus, they both enjoy wine so that made their choice even better. They both agreed that a Renault winery engagement session would be the best for them.

Sunset Engagement session at the Renault Winery

We had a beautiful evening for their session!  The weather was warm and there was no wind!  Having the sunset filtered in the trees and vines made for some great photos. The event coordinator, Alyssa, drove us around the winery and golf course to show us the best spots. We found some tall grass, beautiful grape vines, some great open spaces and even did some 4 wheeling.  Just kidding, Alyssa had to drive off the path to get us to a spot I had seen in the distance. We also had a little company as a couple deer decided to check us out.  Jena and Steve did so well with their poses, and both are so photogenic!  It is so nice to get to spend time this time with my wedding couples and get to know more about them and their story before the big day.

When Jena and Steve have free time, they love being together. They enjoy going out with family and friends.  The beach is also one of their favorite locations to hang at.  The two love wineries and finding good restaurants.  And they have a dog that loves to go for walks.

Jena and Steve love how patient they are with each other and are looking forward to their wedding day.  Walking down the aisle to finally be married is what Jena is looking forward to most.  They are also hoping for a beautiful sunny July day to celebrate with their family and friends.
