Elizabeth & Kenny’s Wedding at Deauville Inn, Strathmere NJ
A Fall Coastal Wedding
A Fall Coastal Wedding. There’s nothing more special than capturing the love between two people, especially when their wedding day is as heartfelt and beautiful as Elizabeth and Kenny’s. On September 21st, 2024, they tied the knot at the stunning Deauville Inn in Strathmere, NJ, surrounded by family, friends, and a whole lot of love.
A Picture-Perfect Wedding Day
Elizabeth and Kenny’s wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect. The sun was shining, with just enough clouds to provide that dreamy, soft lighting that makes for incredible photos. They were surrounded by their closest friends and family, soaking in every moment of their special day. From start to finish, the day was filled with laughter, love, and heartfelt moments that made it unforgettable.
Personal Touches & Meaningful Details
Elizabeth has always had a deep connection to the beach, so it was only fitting that their wedding incorporated elements of the ocean. Their décor featured beautiful blue hues reminiscent of the water, and each table was named after a bird in honor of her father and their family friends, who love birdwatching. One of the most fun and unique touches? A Mr. and Mrs. Pikachu made an appearance in the photo booth!
But the most touching surprises came during the dances. Neither Elizabeth’s father nor Kenny’s mother knew what songs they would be dancing to, making their reactions all the more special and heartfelt.
A Vibrant and Sentimental Bouquet
Elizabeth’s bouquet was a stunning mix of orange, yellow, and blue—three of her favorite colors. As someone who has always loved playing with color in art, she wanted a bouquet that reflected her personality and artistic vision. Even more special? Her mother, a flower farmer at Badcat Farms, carefully selected the flowers, even using some grown at home to decorate their reception tent. It was a beautiful and meaningful detail that added a personal touch to their celebration.
The Perfect Wedding Attire for a Fall Coastal Wedding
Elizabeth’s wedding dress was a journey of its own! Initially designed with straps, the dress didn’t fit quite right when it arrived, leading to multiple fittings to transform it into a stunning strapless gown. The end result? A breathtaking dress adorned with intricate beading and floral details that suited her perfectly.
Kenny looked dashing in a dark charcoal suit, intentionally standing out from his groomsmen, who wore lighter gray suits. Together, they looked absolutely perfect!
Most Anticipated Moments
For Elizabeth and Kenny, capturing memories with every guest was a top priority. They wanted to ensure that everyone had a special photo to take home from the day. Another highly anticipated moment? The special dance reveals. Seeing the reactions of Elizabeth’s father and Kenny’s mother to their surprise songs was a highlight of the night!
Wedding Planning Advice
Elizabeth and Kenny have some wise words for couples currently planning their wedding:
- Work together! They made sure to share the workload, splitting up vendor communication so one person didn’t become overwhelmed.
- Keep things simple. A few meaningful details make all the difference.
- Remember what really matters: celebrating with the person you love and the people who mean the most to you.
A Fun & Windy Engagement Session
Before their big day, I had the pleasure of capturing Elizabeth and Kenny’s engagement session in Ocean City. The weather that day was wild—strong winds had us quite literally eating sand the entire session! But looking at the photos, you’d never guess the crazy conditions we faced. The love and joy between them outshone any challenges, and we captured some truly gorgeous moments. It was a fun session that kept us on our toes and gave us memories (and probably some leftover sand in our bags) to laugh about later!
Kind Words from the Couple
Elizabeth and Kenny had the sweetest words to share about their experience working with me:
“Maria, you are absolutely so talented. You are an artist. You have incredible attention to detail and an amazing ability to give direction. When we met at the engagement session, I knew you would be able to get amazing photos of the wedding day. It is so easy to follow your prompts for what you want us to do/move, and that made it so easy and seamless. I would love for you to capture more life events for us.”
A Fall Costal Wedding
Capturing their wedding day was an absolute joy, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them. Congratulations, Elizabeth and Kenny!
