Reflecting on a Year of Love | A 2024 Wedding Recap | Memories by Maria Photography

My 2024 Wedding Season

2024 South Jersey Weddings. Photographing weddings is one of my greatest joys. From the grand pomp and circumstance to the quiet, intimate moments, every wedding is a unique story waiting to be told. Whether it’s braving unexpected weather, walking on sandy beaches at the Jersey Shore, or capturing heartfelt ceremonies in a courthouse in Pennsylvania, no two weddings are the same.

Big or small, each celebration holds its own magic. One of my favorite parts of the process is getting to know my couples. Through the many conversations leading up to the wedding day, the detailed timeline planning, and often a fun engagement session, I build a connection that makes me feel more like a friend than just a vendor on their special day. This relationship allows me to capture their moments with authenticity and care, ensuring their memories are preserved beautifully.

This year, my wedding season started in March and carried me through all kinds of weather, unique venues, and memorable couples. Here’s a look back at the amazing weddings I had the honor of photographing in 2024:

March Weddings

Lori & Wes started the season at Running Deer Golf Club. Despite the rain showers, they embraced the weather with grace, and we managed to sneak in a few photos before the downpour. Their willingness to enjoy the moment, even in light rain, set the tone for a beautiful day.

Caitlin & Gilberto celebrated their wedding a week later at Swan Lake. It was a sunny but chilly day, perfect for their outdoor dockside ceremony. Caitlin’s choice to wear her grandmother’s wedding dress added a sentimental and timeless touch to their day.

April Weddings

Danielle & Rob tied the knot at Ramblewood Country Club. The forecast called for rain, but the skies cleared just in time, allowing us to use all the gorgeous photo spots at the venue. We ended the day with a stunning sunset that made for some of my favorite shots of the year.

Lauren & Bill opted for an intimate ceremony at the Cape May Zoo gazebo with their closest family and friends. A few weeks later, they held a reception to celebrate with everyone.

At the end of April, Kelcie & Tim hosted their wedding in Asbury, with an outdoor ceremony at McLoone’s Boathouse. Kelcie’s personal touches and details made the day extra special, and their lively reception was full of energy and celebration.

May Weddings

Mary & Dan braved strong winds for their outdoor ceremony in Stone Harbor, followed by a lively reception at the Women’s Civic Club of Stone Harbor.

Cecilia & Roberto celebrated their long-awaited wedding at The Warrington in Pennsylvania. Surrounded by their fun-loving family, it was a day full of joy and laughter.

Kelly & Chris hosted their wedding at Valleybrook Country Club, navigating unpredictable weather with grace. Despite the rain and sun trading places all day, we captured beautiful moments on the golf course after the skies cleared.

On Memorial Day weekend, Caitlyn & Mike said their vows in a heartfelt beach ceremony in Ocean City. I was thrilled to document their journey from a surprise proposal to their big day.

August Weddings

Amber & Ian tied the knot on a hot summer day in Cape May. Their beach ceremony went off without a hitch, and their reception at The Grand Hotel was a joyful celebration.

September Weddings

September was busy and beautiful!

Raquel & Mike exchanged vows at the Icona Avalon. With perfect weather, their beach ceremony was magical, and the beach photos were stunning.

Deanna & Stephen celebrated at Resorts Casino, my first casino wedding! From fun photos on the casino floor to sunset moments on the balcony, their day was a unique experience.

Susan & Willard had a cozy courthouse ceremony in Mays Landing, with family, friends, and even their fur baby present.

Elizabeth & Kenny planned a flawless day with a beach ceremony in Strathmere and a reception under a clear-top tent at the Deauville Inn. The day ended perfectly with a tequila toast!

Heather & Joe finally celebrated their long-awaited wedding at Sayen Gardens. After postponing their original date, their excitement made the day all the more special.

October Weddings

Lauren & James said their vows at the Seashell Resort in Long Beach Island, accompanied by their two fur babies. It was a perfect October day for beach photos.

Nicole & Austin celebrated a charming courthouse wedding in West Chester, PA. I loved capturing Nicole’s vision for a simple yet stunning day as they strolled through town to say “I do.”

Maggie & Patrick had their big day at Locust Hill Farms, a venue I’d been eager to visit. It didn’t disappoint, with endless photo opportunities and a perfect setting for such a sweet couple.

December Weddings

Alicia & BJ wrapped up the year with a chilly but sunny wedding at Swan Lake. The sunset that evening was breathtaking and made for some unforgettable photos.

Bryana & Joe brought the season full circle with their December wedding at Running Deer Golf Club. From start to finish, their day was filled with joy, warmth, and celebration, closing out my 2024 wedding season on a high note.
