Erin & Thomas’ Engagement Session at Batsto Historic Village
Batsto Spring Engagement. Erin and Thomas’ engagement session was a beautiful celebration of love. Their session was set against the vibrant backdrop of spring at Batsto Historic Village. April was the perfect month for this shoot. The blooming trees and budding greenery added a natural charm to the day. Springtime is always a lovely season for photos, but this session was especially magical, with warm sunshine and hints of floral fragrance in the air.
From the start, Erin and Thomas were a joy to photograph. They strolled through Batsto hand-in-hand, pausing to laugh together and take in the peaceful surroundings. Batsto Historic Village offeres such a great mix of rustic and timeless backdrops. From its historic buildings to open fields, perfect for capturing their sweet connection and the natural, candid moments that unfolded. And, Tom wore the best boots!!
My Favorite Blue Door
We stopped at various spots along the way. We went by old stone walls, under trees, and near my favorite blue doors. Erin and Thomas have an ease with each other that comes through beautifully in photos. They’re fun, lighthearted, and clearly in tune with each other’s personalities, making my job an absolute pleasure. It’s obvious that humor and personality are two of the things they love most about each other, as they were constantly making each other laugh.
A Mountain top proposal
Erin and Thomas first met in vocational school, a connection that blossomed into a strong and enduring relationship. Thomas proposed during a breathtaking moment on a mountain overlooking the Shenandoah River, adding a touch of adventure to their love story. Their favorite things to do together reflect this sense of adventure and creativity. They love to travel, cook, bake, fish, and even experiment with unique food combinations.
When asked about their wedding plans, Erin and Thomas said they are still figuring out the details but are thrilled about sharing their love with family and friends on their big day. Erin mentioned they’re both looking forward to the simple joy of getting married and celebrating together. Their wedding date, October 23, 2025, promises to be a memorable autumn celebration!
