Julia and Austen | Beautiful Beach Wedding | Cape May, NJ
Cape May Beach Wedding. I have said before that I just adore photographing beach weddings and this wedding made me realize this even more! Julia and Austen were truly a photographer’s dream couple. They were so sweet, so in love and posed so well together. After a quick conversation with Julia, I knew that we were a perfect match, and I was excited to photograph their day.
The weather was just beautiful on their wedding day. It was not too hot and there was a light breeze. The sunset was hazy which gave us the best light. I met Julia and Austen at one of the famous Victorian bed and breakfast Inns in Cape May, The Angel of the Sea. We took pictures by the inn before heading over to the beach.
Small intimate Wedding
These two had planned a big wedding but due to covid they decided to downsize and the beach made perfect sense. They had their immediate family and close friends there to help them celebrate. Austen’s mom did a reading and Austen’s friend played his guitar. Their wedding vows were so touching.
After the ceremony they popped a bottle of champagne and toasted with their family and friends. I took photos of the two them on the beach, on the jetty and near the blue and white cabanas. They loved the cabanas because it reminded them of where they got engaged. Austen proposed to Julia on the island of Santorini overlooking the Aegean Sea.
Cape May Beach Wedding
Julia was so graceful and posed beautifully. Julia’s dress had great movement and Austen’s outfit was perfect for a Cape May beach wedding. Julia’s bouquet had white, ivory, and pink flowers. She loved her bouquet and that she can keep it forever. No one could tell that they were not real flowers. She purchased the bouquet from Classic Blooms.
Julia’s advice for future brides:Â Go with the flow. Don’t try to control too many things. Plan the things that are important and let the rest of it happen organically so you can be fully immersed, aware, and savor every moment.
Beautiful day
I enjoyed these two! I loved their carefree attitude about life and each other. We had the best beach weather and gorgeous light which made everything simply perfect. Austen even found a gold coin on the beach on our walk back to the inn. Congratulations to Julia and Austen!

The pictures are gorgeous.
Cape May weddings have my heart! I was married by the same officiant. Maria did an amazing job capturing the moments of this wedding! I love how she pays attention to details and writes a blog of each of her clients! She is just the best all around!
