A baby makes three

Princeton University Maternity session. Meet Chinmay and Manorama, they are expecting their first baby in the new year! Chinmay contacted me about photographing a maternity session for his wife and himself. These sessions are some of my favorite, so of course I said yes! And when he suggested we meet at Princeton University? It’s like he knew that I have been dying to do a session on the campus. Ever since I moved to NJ I have heard so many things about it! The beauty and architecture completely mesmerized me and were beyond anything I could have ever expected.

A chilly December morning

It was a chilly morning when we met. Manorama was so awesome with not letting the cold bother her! She rocked all of the poses and looked breathtaking while doing so! We laughed when she showed me her long johns and boots underneath her gown! Definitely a smart mama in the making!

The sun was out with a little bit of haziness creating the perfect atmosphere and light for photos. We started out in Madison Hall, which features a hallway full of tall arches…a photographer’s dream location! Manorama looked enchanting standing there in the middle of the hallway.

A Princeton University Maternity session

When we walked out the hallway into the square, I saw another gorgeous building with huge grand arches. We had to go over there next! Campbell Hall is another building with gloriously beautiful architecture! Manorama and Chinmay chose the perfect outfits for our location. Their style makes these photographs look so much more rich and again very enchanting. Sometimes clothing choices can add so much more to the photos!

I couldn’t stop smiling

The smile across my face was never ending while walking around this campus and I know I must have said “I love this place” a million times. We stopped and snapped a few shots whenever a building caught our eye. I even discovered another blue door! We utilized the Morrison Building, the grand steps and columns of the Clio, East Payne, and the ivy-covered walls of Nassau Hall.

A gown from Amazon

Manorama had asked me which outfit she should wear for the session.  I loved the choice she made with this maternity gown which she found on Amazon! It was the perfect gown and color for our session! She looked stunning.  The perfect maternity gown for a Princeton University maternity session.

I am glad I got to cross this off my bucket list of places I want to photograph at. It surely did not disappoint and I loved everything about it! Truly a photographer’s dream location with all the different buildings, textures, and details. I am so glad that Chinmay suggested it!

Thank you!

Thank you so much for asking Memories by Maria Photography to capture this special time in your lives! And thank you for bearing with me when I kept wanting to take a few more photos.  I look forward to seeing you two in the future and meeting your new baby!
